Detective Xev
Xev was “born” on March 11, 2001, cloned for Nik. She sometimes finds this fact upsetting. She doesn’t like the idea of being created for someone. She has come to accept the idea. However, she doesn’t like to watch Lexx, as she doesn’t like the reminder of her status as a clone.
While normally a kind person, Xev is occasionally capable of acts of great violence, particularly when she or someone she is close to is in danger, or when she feels that she has been taken advantage of. Those are the times when her Cluster Lizard half comes to the surface. In the cloning process, her Original’s lustfulness was somewhat diminished, but is still there.
Xev and Nik have become good friends. At first he’d get jealous when she showed interest in other guys, but he’s now come to accept the relationship as it stands, friendship. She’s her own person, after all, and free to develop whatever kind of relationship she wants with Nik or others. She still lives with Nik right now.
Nik
Nik was brought into the group by Fantasma, who first introduced him to her Deek. As soon as he learned of the cloning labs, he immediately wanted to be part of it. Nik and Fantasma (or Cristy as he usually calls her, using her real name) are good friends, Fantasma is his closest friend out of the Clone Zone group.
Tamahome and Miaka
Xev and Nik own two fire-lizards, a gold (female) named Miaka, and a bronze (male) named Tamahome (or Tama for short), after their favorite anime couple. Fire-lizards are tiny creatures resembling tiny dragons, about 3 feet in length. Fire-lizards are fairly intelligent animals with telepathic abilities. They can convey emotions and images to those who they “look to”, the term used to indicate the psychic bond they form with a selected human. Fire lizards possess the ability to “go between”, that is, to teleport from one location to another. They can also breathe fire, if allowed to chew a special kind of rock, which is mixed with special digestive acids in a second stomach, producing a flammable gas. Miaka and Tama were hatched at the same time. An unexplained interdimensional glitch caused two fire-lizard eggs to appear in Nik and Xev’s home.
