WELCOME TO THE CLONE ZONE!

LIST SUGGESTIONS (as we hate *rules*)

These guidelines to posting on this list will be re-posted at regular intervals as a reminder to all, and for all the new list members. They can also be found in the Files in Yahoo Groups.

1) FLAMING, SPAMMING, TROLLING :
They are not a good idea on this list.  Feel free to do as you like, but chances are that you will not survive to the end of the day if you try to flame the powerful and wicked intelligences on this list.  Plus, the ListMistress eats trolls for breakfast, and is an expert in the art of hassling.

2) PRIVACY RULE:
Everything that is being posted to this list remains PRIVATE, and shall NOT be re-posted on other lists, shall NOT be discussed on other lists, and shall NOT forwarded in private e-mails unless the original poster asks for the news or information in their post to be spread.  These are people's personal fantasies and opinions, and should be respected as such.

3) RANTING AND WHINING:
If you feel the need to rant or whine a bit about life, the universe or anything else, go for it. We're here to listen. :) Put OT (for "Off Topic") in the subject line, though, if your post has nothing to do with Lexx, fanfiction/ clonefiction writing etc.

4) ANYTHING GOES:
As far as clone fiction is concerned, anything your imagination inspires you to write goes. The only thing we ask is that you ask the other clone fiction writers for permission before using them or their characters in any stories, posts or artwork, and that other people and their clones do not get killed off or permanently damaged.

5) NON-LEXX CLONES:
Clones of a non-Lexxian origin are welcome after an initial request of a Lexxian clone, since we are based in the Dark Zone/Light Zone/Weirdo Zone. Think of it as a warm up period.  And should you chose to introduce a character not based in "the Zone," please include an initial description of introduction in case no one else knows who you are talking about.  This includes original characters that are not introduced in a story line.

6) REAL PEOPLE:
Writing stories or fantasies about the actors of Lexx, as opposed to the characters, violates their human dignity, so please don't post anything like that here. The general rule is, no Real People (including your fellow listmembers) shall be used in any stories without their consent. The exception is during *Parties* when people play walk-on roles in each other's clone fiction, but you should treat them with respect and kindness.

7) PLEASE TRIM YOUR REPLIES
 i.e. if you reply to somebody else's post, don't quote their entire post, but only the relevant parts you are responding to. Otherwise, people on digest format will have to scroll through the same message over and over again. Especially, don't leave a 100KB piece of fan fiction attached to a one-liner reply!

8) PARTY GUIDELINES:
well, what do you know...we have a few traditions too:
1. Thou shalt not leave the party being sober.
2. Thou shalt have sex at the party.
3. Thou shalt use at least one of another mistress clones.
4. Thou shalt whip at least one clone, mistress/master or sheep during party.
5. Thou shalt not keep your clone from mountain dew or chocolate during parties.
6. Thou shalt not leave party before midnight, that is a deadly sin.
7. Thou shalt never ever care about guide lines.

9) REJECTED CLONES:
When a person leaves the list, then their clones go with them. However, IF they THROW AWAY a clone, that is, reject him publicly ...THEN that clone is up for reclamation.  The clone will have to go to the Lab and be reprocessed, and their basic characteristics will stay the same, but they will be attuned to their new master/mistress.

10) ADMISSION TO THE CLONE ZONE:
Because this is a private list, membership is based on vote because members need to feel comfortable with who reads their posts, and who they are writing with.  It is a matter of trust and friendship. Therefore, ALL new or returning members must be voted in to the Clone Zone by a majority vote that reflects 50% of the membership. The ListMistresses will take a poll of the members each time we recieve a new application.
